Sal Baglio and Stephen Gilligan
“Songs & Stories”

November 15, 2008 – Sal Baglio and Stephen Gilligan played three sold out shows to commemorate The Stompers 31st anniversary at the Cellar Studio in Salem, Ma. The venue was a very intimate setting and was described by Sal as “having the feel of a house concert.”

When asked why this type of venue and why this type of show, Sal answered… “We want the folks who come to a "Songs & Stories" show to participate by asking questions, sharing their memories and joining in while we play the songs they want to hear. So we thought this house concert was the perfect setting for that.”

Sal and Steve delivered just what they promised as fans in attendance were not only treated to great versions of all the Stompers’ classics, but also songs that, in some cases, hadn’t been played live in nearly thirty years.
Throughout the course of the day, both Sal and Steve told the stories behind the songs and tales of being on the road and their experiences in the music industry. The guys also took several requests, which led to some very spontaneous and often comical moments. All in all, the day was a huge success and a wonderful celebration of both the band’s anniversary and history.

“To all those who attended, thank you for being a part of the Stompers history and for celebrating this special occassion with us”
